Great final of PlusLiga is just the perfect summary of the whole season – unusual. In the battle for Polish gold, Zaksa and Resovia met 4 times already and we still have no idea who might be the favorite in this final game in Kedzierzyn-Kozle.

Let’s remind that in order to earn the gold or bronze medal, you have to win three games. First, Zaksa had two games at home. Match number one was dominated by the hosts, but also by the great number of terrible mistakes from both sides, so it was not exactly the best volleyball in history.

Zaksa gained a leading in the beginning of the first set, but Resovia reduced it just before the first TTO. Felipe Fonteles helped his team to reborn and scored 3 times in a row. It made Kedzierzyn more confident and they stayed focused and strong till the end. Fonteles closed this part with ace.In the second set, Antonin Rouzier was more active and he joined his team with strength. Resovia was being blocked over and over. In the last part, current Polish champion tried to rebuilt it’s game and they were leading all the way. However, in the end  Michal Ruciak saved the day for Zaksa with his attack and service. He also finished the game and was chosen the MVP

The second game was more tough an exciting, with a big dose of emotions, not only positive. Zaksa had a small lead at the beginning, but Resovia cleared their head after the failure of the previous day and stroked hard winning the first set. Kedzierzyn tied earning the second part easily and quickly, but Rzeszow one more time showed their cold blood. Next set was equaled until the second TTO and after that guests went ahead 3 points and they did not let go up to the end.
The last part was truly thrilling. It was a fantastic game from the beginning and we had a tie over and over again, until Rouzier gave his team 2 points of leverage. However, near the result 21:19, Zaksa freezed and Resovia attacked on the wing and on service.  Zbigniew Bartman, who scored 28 points that day, finished the game and gave a win to Resovia Rzeszow.
